Sales Policy

Goats are herd animals and must have companions or friends.  You must already have goats or are planning to buy more than one together.

 

All kids will be disbudded unless you request otherwise.  They will be tattooed in the ears. We will vaccinate for CD/T. For coccidia, we use a medicated feed and kids are dewormed as necessary. If you are taking a bottle baby, you are responsible for all vaccines and medications.

 

We retain the right to keep any goat born on our farm.  We will do our best to fulfill reservations, however we have no control over what sex is born.

 

Pricing

  • Nigerian Dwarf Doelings & Bucklings start at $400.

  • Nigerian Dwarf Does and Bucks 1 year and older pricing varies. 

  • Nigerian Dwarf Does who've been bred will carry a service fee of $50.

  • All wethers $150 each.  

  • Nigerian Dwarf Buck Service start at $50 per breeding.

  • Hoof Trimming $5 per animal on our farm.  $20 on-site fee plus $5 per animal.

  • Milking Training for you and your doe $25 per visit.

  • Boarding Fees - Waiting for pick-up. $2 per day.

 

Reservations

Reservations require a $50 deposit.  If you would like a particular breeding with a specific dam and buck please let us know.  We will call and email you when your goat is ready for pick-up. Once we notify you, you will have 48 hours to schedule a pick-up date.  If we do not have a response, it will be understood that you are canceling your purchase. If you choose to cancel your reservation or purchase the deposit will not be refunded.  However, a deposit can be transferred to another goat.   

 

Deposit/Payment

All deposits are non-refundable. Once you select your goat, a $100 holding deposit is required to hold your goat through weaning.  If you made reservations that deposit will be applied to the holding deposit. Wether require a $50 holding deposit per goat.  Babies are weaned at 8-10 weeks.  Bucklings must be picked up at 8 weeks old or weaning.  Failure to pick-up within 30 days will result in a cancellation and your deposits will be forfited and not transferable.  Any goat not picked up by the pre-set date or weaning will be charged $2 per day boarding fee. On for sale listings, your goat will be marked as "Sale Pending" after we have received the deposit. Deposits are applied to the full purchase price.  Boarding fees will be assessed as needed. Checks are accepted 10 days before pick-up. We also accept payments through Paypal. If not paid in full before the scheduled pick-up, then cash or PayPal will only be accepted. Retuned checks will be charged an additional $30 which must be paid prior to pick-up.

 

Registrations

Our goats are in the process or have completed registration with ADGA and AGS. Kids are sold with the registration applications for ADGA and AGS.  It is your responsibility to pay the registration and transfer fees.  If you are purchasing a goat that has already been registered, you will receive thier paperwork and a bill of sale.  It is your responsibility to pay the transfer fees and put the goat into your name.  Replacement paperwork can be mailed for a fee of $25 per goat.  Payment must be received before we will mail replacement paperwork.  We will accept cash, check, or PayPal.

 

Buck Service and Bred Does

Does that have been serviced by a buck are considered bred.  We do not guarantee breedings, live births, or that there will be no birth defects once a doe has left our farm.  Payment for service is due at the time of service.  The Service Fee is non-refundable after the doe leaves our property and you will receive a Service Memo. You may return within 30 days for a second attempt at breeding, if you believe that your doe did not take.  Does sold as bred will come with a Service Memo.  All kids born on our farm will be tattoed and carry our farm name.  

 

Transportation Holdings

We will hold your goat for two weeks while you make transportation arrangements. If transportation is going to take longer than 2 weeks we ask for payment in full prior to pick-up. Boarding fees will be assessed at $2 per day as described above in Deposits/Payment.


Shipping/Health Certificates

You are responsible for all transportation fees and arrangements. We will do our best to accommodate the transporter but make no guarantees.  We ask that no goats will be picked up before 7:00am or after 9:00pm.  You are responsible to know the interstate shipping requirements for the states being traveled.  The cost of Health Certificates, as well as any other testing requested by the buyer, is the responsibility of the buyer.  Health Certificates require a vet visit and must be scheduled and paid in advance. We use Dr. Sands at Healing Paws in Carlilse for our vet services.

Testing

We have completed sample testing in our herd for CAE, CL, Johnes, TB and Brucellosis.  All testing has been found negative to date. All of these are contagious diseases therefore we believe that our farm remains free and negative these contagious diseases. Buyers are responsible for any fees from our vet for additional testing.  Fees must be paid before or at time of service from our vet.  We use Dr. Sands at Healing Paws in Carlisle for most of our vet services.

Sales Are Final

There are no exchanges or refunds. However, if you find yourself in a situation that you can no longer care for your goats, please contact us and we may be able to take them back for a 25% return of purchase price.  Various requirements and considerations are taken when accepting an animal back including testing and health certificates no more than 30 days old.
